JUNCTION

Privacy policy

Last updated October 26, 2026

Junction is made by Omnibral. It helps people plan pickups, handoffs and meetups. This policy covers the Junction apps for iPhone and Android and the Junction web app at omnibral.com. Questions go to info@omnibral.com.

What we collect

  • Account. Your email address and a password (stored only as a hash), or the name and email Apple or Google share when you sign in with them.
  • Profile. The name, photo and contact details (phone, email, WhatsApp, Telegram) you choose to add. You decide per meeting which contact details the other parties see.
  • Meetings. Times, stops, notes, travel legs (such as a flight or train number), vehicle details, items to hand over, and photos of you, your vehicle or a zone that you add to a meeting.
  • Messages. What you write in a meeting's message thread, and a note when you share its invite link (which app you chose, not who you sent it to).
  • Location. Only when you turn on location sharing for a meeting. You choose off, on during the meeting, or on until you arrive. While it is on, the app sends your position, including in the background, until you arrive, the meeting ends or you turn it off.
  • Notifications. A push token for your device, so we can send meeting invites and updates.
  • Track record. How many meetings you completed and your average lateness, shown to people who invite you.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Why we use it

Only to run Junction: to sign you in, show each meeting to its parties, estimate arrival times, update travel legs, confirm that the parties met (including noticing when the shared locations of two parties are close together, so we can ask each of them to confirm), verify pairing codes, and send you notifications about your meetings.

Who can see it

  • Parties in your meetings see your name, photo, the contact details you chose to share, your meeting details, the messages you write in that meeting, and your live location while you share it.
  • Service providers that process data for us: Convex (database and hosting), Apple and Google (sign-in and push notification delivery), Expo (push notification delivery), Google Maps Platform (maps and travel time estimates, using the meeting's coordinates) and AeroDataBox (flight status, using the flight number only).
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Live location points are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
  • Notifications are deleted after 90 days.
  • Your account, profile and meetings are kept until you delete your account.
  • When you delete your account we delete your profile, sign-in details, photos, messages, location points, notifications, push tokens and stats, and cancel your open meetings. Other parties keep their own record of past meetings, which still shows the name you used in them.

Your choices

  • Location sharing is off until you turn it on for a meeting, and you can turn it off at any time in the meeting or in your phone's settings.
  • You can turn off notifications in your phone's settings.
  • You can view and edit your profile in the app, and delete your account in the app under Profile, or as described on Delete your Junction account.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, at info@omnibral.com.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored with Convex. Sign-in sessions on your phone are kept in the device's secure storage.

Children

Junction is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app when the change matters.
